Couples Therapy For Bereaved Parents
The Elizabeth Rose Foundation subsidises evidence-based couples therapy for couples experiencing relationship difficulties after the sudden and unexpected loss of a child during pregnancy, birth, infancy or childhood up to 18 years of age. Our services include:
Connecting bereaved parents to therapists trained in couples therapy and grief and loss to support them throughout their journey.

Subsidising the
cost of evidence-based couples therapy so bereaved parents can protect their relationship.

Enabling the
community to support bereaved parents by donating funds for therapy in honour
of a child.

Educating health professionals on the importance of evidence-based couples therapy following the sudden and unexpected loss of a child.

Raising community awareness about how the sudden and unexpected loss of a child affects a couple’s relationship.

We look forward to the day when we have secured enough funding to offer subsidised, evidence‑based couples therapy to bereaved parents. When that time comes, The Elizabeth Rose Foundation will open its couples therapy program and begin welcoming enquiries from parents seeking support, offering a compassionate pathway toward connection and healing.

The Process

The Elizabeth Rose Foundation fundraises and seeks donations to subsidise evidence-based couples therapy.
Couples experiencing relationship difficulties after the sudden and unexpected loss of a child can self-refer or professionals can refer them with the couple's consent.
We connect accepted couples with therapists trained in evidence-based couples therapy and grief and loss.
We subsidise the cost of evidence-based couples therapy so couples can protect their relationship.
