Couples Therapy For Grieving Parents
The Elizabeth Rose Foundation subsidises couples therapy for couples grieving the sudden and unexpected loss of their baby or child during pregnancy, birth, infancy or childhood up to 18 years of age. Our services include:
Connecting grieving parents to therapists trained in couples therapy, grief and loss to support them throughout their grieving journey.

Subsidising the
cost of couples therapy so couples can process their grief together effectively.

Enabling the
community to support grieving parents by donating funds for therapy in honour
of a child.

Providing education
to health professionals on caring for grieving parents and the importance of couples therapy following the loss of a child.

Increasing community awareness about how grief after the sudden loss of a child impacts a couple’s relationship.

We look forward to supporting grieving parents when we have accrued sufficient funding to start offering fully donor-funded couples therapy. At which time, The Elizabeth Rose Foundation will launch its couples therapy program and be open to new client enquiries.

The Process

The Elizabeth Rose Foundation fundraises and seeks donations to subsidise couples therapy.

Grieving parents can self-refer, and professionals caring for grieving parents can refer them with couples’ consent.

We connect grieving parents to therapists trained in grief-focused couples therapy.

We subsidise the cost of a course of evidence-based couples therapy so couples can process their grief together effectively.
